Looking forward to an awesome event to celebrate the end of the year and this awesome team of young athletes. Due to the large number of swimmers that missed rehearsals this week (great timing for a virus to make the rounds...), I've adjusted the afternoon call times so that we can run additional practice/warm-up for the routines. We want everyone feeling confident for the show! PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY-- SWIMMERS SHOULD BE READY TO SWIM AT THE TIMES LISTED 10:30am-11:15am AquaSprites Rehearsal 11:15am-12:15pm Yellow, Orange, Maroon, Gold Rehearsal 3:15pm TEAL Warm-Up 3:45pm AQUA Warm-Up 4:20pm SILVER Warm-Up 5:00pm FULL Finale Rehearsal **ALL GROUPS 5:30pm TEAM PHOTO WE STILL NEED VOLUNTEERS!!! Sign Up Here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1181H4_YZzB734DlMsGXA8fv2mra45rpijqatFwjG_w0/edit?usp=sharing The goal is to share the load so that parents can all enjoy the show rather than expecting some to carry the whole weight Should my swimmer come dressed in their costume suit? Swimmers can wear normal practice suits for the warm-up/rehearsal then change into their costume suits for the team photo Can my swimmer borrow a noseclip? Please bring any spare noseclips to lend to friends!! In October, we shipped 300 noseclips via FedEx and they are lost in the customs shuffle-- we will have them for sale immediately after they clear, but we don't have many spares for the show. What cap will my swimmer need? Swimmers will get caps to borrow for the show -- holiday themed! :) They must be returned at the end of the show... If your swimmer has a cap from last year (I know there are a couple out there) please bring it so that everyone has a fancy cap What is seating going to be like? We have rented risers (stadium-style seating), plastic chairs and cafe tables-- if you'd like to bring your own chair, you absolutely can, but it's not necessary Is there food/drink available for purchase? Both the lobby bar restaurant and pool restaurant will be open -- please support our hosts and feel free to purchase from either location or one of the servers. Where can I find livestream info? Livestream will be found on the team Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/caymanitesynchro Recording of the show will be available for download as well as drone photos and event photographer photos. Since it's been a while since our last gelling adventure, here's a helpful resource to refresh: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1fa-dwAQip5qSlDkPhCXoUL-cd08TS8gQYzK-jruPABc/edit?usp=sharing **Please visit the store this week/weekend to make sure that you have all of the necessary supplies Some of the swimmers have suggested gelling as a group to make the process go quicker-- awesome idea! They should plan to arrive at the pool with gelled hair DRY with headpiece in Competition Suits: All swimmers will need to have BLACK SUIT and WHITE CAP for Figures in the morning-- COSTUME SUITS for routines Competition suit sizing will be done this week before practices on Wednesday and Friday: Juniors: WEDNESDAY @ 4:45-5:45 at my house with Coach Hannah 12U/13-15: FRIDAY @ 3:30-4:15pm at my house Make-Up: I have told the swimmers that they can wear whatever make-up they choose for the meet-- as long as they match their routine partner :) Some tips--
No Goggles for Routines Unless there is a medical excuse, all swimmers will be swimming routines without goggles-- we will start doing run-throughs without goggles this week, but not for the full practice. Please ask your swimmer to ensure they have contact cases to store lenses in if they take them out, eye drops to minimize irritation and anything else that will prep them for success. Hello, Everyone!
We are going to go ahead with training today at Don Foster's with slightly different pick-up/drop-off procedures. The pool and deck surrounding it are dry and have not been affected by the storm or waves, however, the parking lot is getting some water from the waves. To ensure swimmer safety,
Thank you for your help in enforcing the safety rules so that we can still run practices for the kids this evening. If you have any questions, feel free to WhatsApp (325-7905) or email -Alissa PS: The latest update on Camana Bay pool is that we are waiting on a particular part to arrive on island to repair the last leak. Once that is completed, we will be good to go-- we will update immediately when we know of any changes. Thanks! Hi Everyone,
