Training Level Guide

AquaSprites

Ages: 5-8
Training Commitment: 2x per week (45 min each session)
Registration: Term (3 terms per season - no new registrations post January)

What is an "AquaSprite?"
AquaSprites is the name of our 5-8 yr old Novice synchronized swimming program. Based on the AquaGo program from Artistic Swimming Canada, AquaSprites work on aquatic endurance while learning synchro-specific skills. Games and challenges are incorporated into the sessions in addition to swimming choreographed routines with underwater music.

What equipment does my child need?
One swim cap will be provided for all new swimmers as well as one (1) noseclip.
Please ensure that your swimmer brings a pair of goggles to each session-- extra caps/goggles/noseclips can all be purchased at Dive Supply, Divers World or through CBAC

Novice

Ages: 7+
Training Commitment: 2x per week (60 min-90 min each session)
Registration: Annual (Sept-June)

Intermediate

Ages: 9+
Training Commitment: 2-3x per week (75 min-120 min each session)
Registration: Annual (Sept-June)

Swimmers must have prior competitive experience or demonstrate aptitude for the intermediate competitive skills. Athletes will receive a coach invitation prior to joining an intermediate squad.
