June 7 Update: Show Countdown!

​We're barreling towards the end of the season, and we have a lot of exciting news we want to keep you up to date on. We want to make the end of this year and the beginning of our next season as successful as possible for our athletes. 

Please make note of the following dates and events:

Dress Rehearsal for World Invitational 2024
Saturday May 11th
All athletes competing in WWI (and all AquaSprites) must arrive at 11am for a full dress rehearsal for all routines. 

Coach Romina will be supplying her magic gel for pick up starting at 8am, and a tutorial will be given at 10am for all new families who want to learn this vital synchro parent skill. 

The rehearsal is estimated to run 3 hours, starting with team routines and ending with solos. 

We have a set order of routines that has been planned according to previously disclosed timing conflicts (ie. Battle of the Books) — if your child is participating in another event on Saturday, please message your swimmer's coach ASAP so we can set the routine order accordingly. Thanks!

Figures Training with Judges
As previously discussed for World Invitational preparation, we will have one more figures session with judges for athletes prior to leaving for the competition

Wednesday, May 15th: Novice Figures (Yellow & AquaSprites) 
4-4:45pm 

Thursday, May 16th: Intermediate & 12U AG Figures (Blue, Red, Sapphire, Purple)
4-5:15pm Intermediate
5:15-6pm 12U Age Group
6-6:30pm Youth Figure Feedback from judges *Optional

CBAC Synchro Parent Meeting
Monday May 27th: 6-8pm

Announcements, scheduling and plans for the 2024-25 season will be detailed at this meeting. We are hoping to host this meeting at the ARC, but location will be confirmed.

CBAC Swim-A-Thon
Friday May 31st: 4-7pm, with a club-wide BBQ after 7-8pm.

For the first time since 2016, CBAC is hosting a Swim-A-Thon fundraiser! Last time we raised $10,000 for the club, and we are hoping to surpass this amount this time around. Swimmers will collect donations and pledges to swim lengths of the pool for distance. Afterward we'll celebrate with a team BBQ. Information for donation collection will be distributed to swimmers as soon as we have it.

• Normal training Tuesday-Friday for all groups 
• Saturday Schedule: AG groups training, gelling, set-up & showtime!

  Yes, the forecast looks like we will have another wet show. The good news is that we've done it before and we're more prepared this time around! 
  Tents have been ordered to cover all seating, but please dress for the weather and send your swimmer with a couple of extra towels 

Saturday, June 8th
The link for tickets will be shared as soon as it is available. Start telling your family, friends, colleagues and neighbors to mark their calendars for the best night of the year! 

8-11am: Gel pick-up and/or gelling at pool-- come grab magic gel blocks or gel your hair at the pool.
Alternatively, you can make your own gel at home and arrive at the show ready for action! 
8-10am Training for Aqua, Teal & Purple 
10:15am-11am AquaSprites mini-practice w/ Gelling
please bring your gelling supplies and get your swimmer gelled at the pool
3:45pm-4:30pm Make-Up & Final Prep *please arrive with costume suits on & hair gelled. 
Also, please have your swimmer bring a pair of sunglasses to wear in the Surf Spectacular routine -- any pair will do that you don't mind getting wet!
4:30-5:15pm TEAM PHOTOS & WARM-UP (Thank you to our Team Photographer, Heather )
5:30pm SHOWTIME!

**Please note that all swimsuits & bun caps must be returned to your Squad's Parent Rep before the end of the night.
These suits are then carefully washed, packaged and stored to go into the team suit library. 
We also want to say a "goodbye and see you soon!" to our two graduating seniors, Amber B & Madison V, as well as swimmers moving overseas: Millie T, Alice D, Myla M, Jessica S, Christina S, and Alexa D -- best of luck on your next adventure!

Summer Show Finale Rehearsal
Sunday June 2nd: 12:30-2:30pm

All swimmers are expected to attend this rehearsal in order to take part in the summer showcase finale. Any athletes unable to attend this rehearsal will not be able to participate in the finale during the show for logistical and safety reasons.

INTRO TO SYNCHRO
Wednesday, June 12th and Tuesday, June 18th, 4-4:45pm 

CBAC synchro typically has a long waiting list during this time of the year, and we are very happy to share that we will be offering two Intro to Synchro classes before families go away for summer holidays. 

If you have any family, friends or classmates who have been dying to give synchro a try, please pass along the info!
